Alex’s Lemonade Stand

Have you heard about ‘Alex’s lemonade stand’? Alexandra “Alex” Scott opened her own lemonade stand when she was only 4 years old. She made her lemonade stand to earn money for children with cancer. She wanted to help the kids who had childhood cancer because she had a cancer, too. She was only 4 years old and had a cancer, but she started the first Alex's Lemonade Stand with her brother to help childhood cancer. Alex held lemonade stand to raise money for childhood cancer even though her health was getting worse, every year from 2000 to 2004 and died at the age of 8 in 2004. She raised over 1million for childhood cancer research in her short life time and her family and her supporters made Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. I thought Alex is a very incredible girl when I first heard about her. I think it's hard to think she wants to make a lemonade stand to help childhood cancer in 4 years old. I think she might think about the kids who had cancer because they were like her. Maybe she was sad that there are many kids like her and wanted to get them out of pain. It's too sad that she died because of cancer in young age, but I think her effort to help childhood cancer will be remembered by many people.
